Samsung Monitor SyncMaster 715V

POWERING TROUBLE I BELIEVE BUT NOT SURE.

The monitor powers up fine,the problem occurs when i connect the vga cable to the computer from there it just automatically shuts down.

    it seems that this model has some sort of power safe mode ,if it does how can i disable it if i cant get the monitor to turn on after i connect the cables.
