This problem appeared almost a year ago to judge from the date...
2 of us are struggling to use a LBP-5700 on a Mac (in Japan). We found partial information, installed what is supposed to contain the driver (mx4621.dmg), then [from the Linux openprinting.com site] the new version of ghostscript (gplgs-8.64so-ub.dmg) and Foomatic
(foomatic-rip-4.0.0.203-ub.dmg), plus another driver said to support the 5700... but we get a message from "LIPS Printmonitor.app" saying that the "Print monitor" is closed because it cannot locate the printer.
But the printer (queue) has been opened just before...
