2. For servers with memory mirror/sparing configured, can ASM 7.0 detect memory status and log the event
once memory mirror/sparing is taking affect?
ANSWER: No. The feature is only for IPMI 2.0 based system. Currently, the ASM 7.0 supported Altos servers
(i.e. Altos G310 Mk2, G320, G530, G5350 and R510 Mk2) do not feature IPMI 2.0 technology.

ANSWER: No.

ANSWER: No.
4. Is SP1 (Service Pack 1) needed for ASM 7.0 on Windows Server 2003?
ANSWER: No, ASM 7.0 can support Windows Server 2003 with or without SP1.
5. Is Update 2 required for ASM 7.0 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.0?
ANSWER: Yes, Update 2 is necessary to support ASM 7.0 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.0.
Performance
1. Can we save the performance data (for example, CPU utilization, Memory Utilization, HDD Utilization) of
a server to a log file? Hence, the IT administrator could view the server on a daily/weekly basis and see the
trends of the server.
ANSWER: No, ASM 7.0 can only support online monitoring of system performance. Those performance
data won’t be saved.
