8. Secure subunit B to the splice tray at the points shown in Figure 32. If multiple fibers are
being installed, route all fibers simultaneously.
9. Adjust subunit B so the fiber breakout is positioned at the point shown (see Figure 32).
10. Route the breakout fibers at least two times around the inside of the tray making the loop
as large as possible to ensure maximum fiber storage.
11. Splice the subunit A fibers to the subunit B fibers as specified by local policies and
procedures.
12. Replace the splice tray top cover and then turn the splice tray in a clockwise direction to
roll up the excess slack.
13. Return to step 10 in Section 5.4 or step 8 in Section 6.3 to complete the corresponding
OSP cable installation procedure.
Note: If installing the feeder cable, subunit B is the splitter input fiber(s). If installing the
distribution cable, subunit B is the distribution cable subunit.
