Modes
Theprinterhasvemodesasfollows:
•Online
Theprinterisreadytoreceivejobssentfromthecomputer.Jobssentfromthecomputerareprocessed
immediately.Ifjobsarereceivedinothermodes,theyareprintedthenexttimetheprintergoesonline.
•Ofine
Anyjobssentfromthecomputerareheldwithoutbeingprocessed.
Whiletheprinterisofine,youcanfeedorcutrollpapermanually.
Theprintergoesofineautomaticallyifjobscannotbeprocessed,suchasiferrorsoccur.
•Menumode
Menusaredisplayedontheprinter,andyoucanselect,set,orexecutemenuitems.Anyjobssent
fromthecomputerareheldwithoutbeingprinted.
•Submenus
Submenusaredisplayedregardinginkandpaperinformation.Jobscanbereceivedandprintingis
possiblewhilesubmenusaredisplayedandtheprinterisonline.Inothermodes,anyjobssentfromthe
computerareheldwithoutbeingprintedwhilesubmenusaredisplayed.
•Sleepmode
Theprinterisinpower-savingmode.TheprinterautomaticallyentersSleepmodetoconservepowerif
itisidleforaspecicperiod(byfactorydefault,veminutes),thatis,ifnoprintjobsarereceivedor
buttonsarepressedwhileallcoversareclosed.

IfanyprintjobsarereceivedwhentheprinterisinSleepmode(afteritwasoriginallyonline),the
printergoesonlineandprintsthejobs.
