Removal and Replacement Procedures
3. Lift the front edge of the heat sink and swing it up and back
until the shield rests at a 45-degree angle

4. Pull the heat sink away from the base enclosure at a
45-degree angle

and remove it from the base enclosure.

A thermal pad

is installed on the heat sink and makes contact
with the processor. Any time the heat sink is removed, inspect the
thermal pad for damage.
