❑
You may be able to select 720 dpi if your DOS program
supports 720-dpi printing. You can select from Bi-d, Uni-d,
or Auto print directions using the default-setting mode.
The Uni-d setting is recommended when printing at 720
dpi. See Chapter 8 for details.
❑
Do not load index cards that are curled or bent.
❑
Return unused cards to their original package as soon
as possible after you finish printing. Unfavorable storage
conditions, such as high temperature, humidity, or direct
sunlight, can damage the paper.
❑
If your index cards don’t feed properly or jam, see Chapter
10, “Troubleshooting.”
Envelopes
When printing on envelopes, note the following:
❑
Make sure that the adjust lever is set to the + position. The
adjust lever is located inside the printer. See “Setting the
adjust lever” on page 7-20.
❑
Before printing on envelopes from a DOS program using
the sheet feeder, the printer must be in the envelope
printing mode. To enter this mode, load a single envelope
in the sheet feeder and then eject it by pressing the
Load/Eject
button. The printer will now feed envelopes
correctly.
