Transporting the Printer
If you need to transport your printer some distance, carefully
repack it using the original box and packing materials as
follows:
1. Open the printer cover and make sure that the print heads
are capped, which means they are in the home (far right)
position. If the print heads are not capped, turn on the
printer and wait until the print heads return to the home
position. Turn off the printer and then close the printer
cover.

Caution:
Leave the ink cartridges installed when you transport the
printer. Removing the cartridges during transport can damage
the printer.
2. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet; then
disconnect the interface cable from the printer.
3. Remove any paper from the sheet feeder and remove the
paper support, output tray, and cable cover.
4. Attach the protective materials you removed when
unpacking the printer.
5. Repack the printer, paper support, output tray, cable cover,
and power cord in the original box.
6. Keep the printer level during transport.
