A.6 Partitioned Table Space Using SMS Distribution
Test case 5 illustrates how it is possible to define a partitioned table space,
allowing SMS to control the allocation of each separate partition.
The aim is to distribute the different data sets across multiple disk volumes and
access paths, in order to obtain the benefits of DB2 parallelism. This example
defines a partitioned table space with eight partitions, using an existing naming
convention.
