How do I set up the M3 Projector Manager?
INSTALL PROCEDURE: DO NOT Attach USB Cable until instructed to do so.
Install Projector Manager Software. When Screen appears to attach USB cable, attach it. System will go through PnP of USB
Device. It will find drivers on Projector Manager CD.
REMOVAL FOR FIX
If you attached USB cable prior to installing software, you will want to remove the device driver again before you install
Projector Manager. To do so, follow these steps:
First, detach the USB cable from your computer. Then right click on "My Computer" icon. From the menu, select Properties.
Click on Device Manager (In Windows 2000, Click on Hardware, then Device Manager).
Click on "+" in front of Universal Serial Bus Controller to expand the dropdown list. Right click on "****** PCI to USB Host
Controller". Click on Remove (In Windows 2000, click on Uninstall). Close all open windows, then shut computer down. Once
computer is completely powered down, power the computer back up, then follow the Install procedure.
My image is distorted and not projecting correctly.
To correct the image press the POWER button and use the ARROW keys to select RESET.
My image is displayed, but there is a flicker on text and parts of the image.
Press MENU on the remote or projector. Navigate to Setup|Picture|Tune. Select the Tune option by pressing "L" on the
remote or SELECT on the keypad. Then use the ARROW keys or Trackball to adjust your image.
What is the lamp part number for the M3? How do I order a new one?
You may order a lamp from your ASK Proxima reseller. The part number is LAMP-027.
How do I check the amount of time used on my lamp? For how long is the lamp rated?
Press MENU on the remote or projector. Navigate to Setup|Service|info. Select the Info option by pressing "L" on the remote
or SELECT on the keypad. A window will appear; the lamp hours used will be the third item from the top. The lamp, with
proper use, will last for 2000 hours.
How do I reset the lamp timer, after I replace the lamp?
Press MENU on the remote or projector. Navigate to Setup|Service|Reset lamptimer. Select the Reset lamptimer option by
pressing "L" on the remote or SELECT on the keypad.
Can I control the volume of external speakers with the remote?
Yes, when external speakers are connected to the audio out, the volume may be controlled by the remote or keypad. The
internal speaker is also automatically muted.
Will the SVIDEO input override the COMPOSITE video input, if I hook them both up?
No, on the M3 the video inputs are separate. They do share the same audio input. So you may have 2 sources hooked up
(SVIDEO & COMPOSITE), you will only have one audio input for the TWO inputs.
