Overview
The Intel® PRO/Wireless 2011B LAN USB Device is an IEEE 802.11b
wireless networking device that connects to a USB port on your com-
puter. Features include:
• Ad Hoc mode for connecting directly to other computers
• Infrastructure mode for use with single or multiple access points
• WEP data security (128 bit or 64 bit)

Before you begin...
• Make sure the package includes the Intel® PRO/Wireless 2011B
LAN USB Device and CD-ROM.
• Make sure your computer has an available USB port and is running
Windows* 2000, Windows Me, Windows 98, or Windows 98 Second
Edition.
• If your computer is running Windows Me, see the installation
instructions in the Late-breaking News.
Step 1
- Install the hardware
1. Place the wireless device in an open area as high as possible. Metal
objects and florescent lights can adversely affect performance.
2. Plug the cable from the USB device into a USB port in your
computer.
