Chapter 2. Learning the basics
If your computer is on battery power and you want to conserve battery
power, use the integrated GPU. To switch to the integrated GPU:
• Slide the GPU switch to UMA. ( )
• A dialog box may appear on the screen to inform you of this change in
GPU. Click OK to confirm this change.
Attention:
• Always perform GPU switching under Windows operating system.
Notes:
• The screen might go blank for a few seconds during GPU switch.
• To gain the best quality of video output, switch to discrete GPU before
connecting an external display device through HDMI cable.
• Some Direct3D applications running in full-screen mode might not be able to
detect the switch in GPU, resulting in a blank screen. Switch GPU before running
these applications.
