The LINK PSR-816 Series Remote Control panels
allow the user to control the AVS-816 video/audio
switcher from a distant location. The PSR-816 is a
16X1 controller. Each remote control panel has an
RS-232/422 serial port allowing it to be interfaced
with a computer. An internal switch allows the
selection of RS-232 or RS-422. Communications
between the switchers are handled via an RS-485
compatible serial link, using RJ-11 modular jack.
This unique combination provides a reliable link over
long distances, up to 1000 feet with inexpensive,
readily available cable. Active video and audio
channels are indicated by an LED above each
pushbutton for the selected source signal. A front
panel switch selects, audio follow, break-away or
lock-out.

Serial commands are easy to use and If desired, the
PSR-816 may control the AVS-816 as a video or audio
only switcher.
Another feature of the AVS-816 is, modem control. The
software has a telephone dialer, that allows the
operation through a standard telephone line. A modem
at the main switcher location will communicate back to
the PC with full feed-back of a command selected.
The LINK PSR-816 is packaged in a tough one R.U.
chassis and backed by LINK'S standard 10-year
warranty. The Remote Control features reduced depth
to allow it to be mounted on a table or desk-top. The
supplied software allows the control of up to 32
switchers.
