Products with the CE marking comply with both the Electromagnetic
Compatibility Directive (89/336/EEC) and the Low Voltage Directive
(72/23/EEC) – modified by the Directive 96/68/EEC – issued by the
Commission of the European Community.
Compliance with these directives implies conformity to the following
European Standards:
! EN55022: Radio Frequency Interference
! EN 50082: Electromagnetic Immunity
! EN 60950: Product Safety – If your computer includes a
telecommunication network board, the input/output socket is classified
as Telecommunication Network Voltage (TNV-3)
CTR21
The equipment has been approved in accordance with the Council
Decision 98/42/EC for pan-European single terminal connection to the
Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). However, due to
differences between the individual PSTNs provided in difference
countries, the approval does not, of itself, give an unconditional assurance
of successful operation on every PSTN network termination point.
In the event of a problem, contact your equipment supplier immediately.
Battery Replacement
A lithium battery in some computers maintains system configuration
information. In the event that the battery fails to maintain system
configuration information, NEC CI recommends that you replace the
battery. For battery replacement information, call your local NEC CI
dealer.
There is a danger of explosion if the battery is
incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type
recommended by the manufacturer. Discard used batteries according to
the manufacturer’s instructions.
