8.4.2 Listening to recorded
messages
When you have new messages, the number of
new messages is displayed next to r.
Example:
1 Press $ (centre of joystick).
2 Select K, then press ,.
3 Select “Play New Msg.”, then press ,.
L The new messages will be played back.
L To play all messages, select “Play All
Msg.”, then press ,.
L Adjust the speaker or receiver volume
pushing the joystick up or down
repeatedly.
Note:
L While listening to messages, you can switch
between the receiver and speaker by
pressing {C} or {s}.
L If there is no memory available to record
voice messages, “Full” will be displayed.
Erase unnecessary messages (page 58, 60).
To repeat a message
Push the joystick left while listening to the
message.
L If you push the joystick left within 5 seconds
of the beginning of the message, the previous
message will be played.
To skip a message
Push the joystick right to play the next message.
To stop playback
Press Z (soft key).
To erase a specific message
1. Press _ (soft key) while listening to the
message you want to erase.
2. Select “Yes”, then press ,.
To erase all the messages
1. Press $ (centre of joystick).
2. Select K, then press ,.
3. Select “Delete Message”, then press
,.
4. Select “Delete All”, then press ,.
5. Select “Yes”, then press ,.
6. Press {ih}.
8.4.3 Leaving a message for
others or yourself
1 Press $ (centre of joystick).
2 Select K, then press ,.
3 Select “Record”, then press ,.
4 Select “Record Memo”, then press ,.
5 Hold the cordless handset about 20 cm away
and speak clearly into the microphone (1).
6 To stop recording, press Z.
7 Press {ih}.
Note:
L Voice memos are treated as new messages.
To listen to memo messages, see page 58,
60.
L If there is no memory available to record
voice messages, “Full” will be displayed.
Erase unnecessary messages (page 58, 60).
8.4.4 Operation using the direct
commands
You can operate the answering machine by
pressing dial keys as direct commands. To use
the following commands, press $ (centre of
joystick), select K, then press ,.
