Inserting a Memory Stick
To insert a Memory Stick, proceed as follows:
1 Insert it into the slot until the Memory Stick™ (1) is fixed into the connector.
2 When the Memory Stick™ is connected properly, you can see the contents of the card by clicking the
Removable Disk (S:) icon.

Hold the Memory Stick media with the arrow pointing in the correct direction when you insert it into the slot. To avoid damaging the computer or the
Memory Stick media, do not force the Memory Stick media into the slot if it does not insert smoothly.
Removing a Memory Stick
To remove a Memory Stick, proceed as follows:
1 Make sure the access light is off and push the Memory Stick™ in toward the computer.
2 When it comes out, pull it out.
The Memory Stick window closes automatically when you remove the Memory Stick™.
Always remove the Memory Stick gently, or it may pop out unexpectedly.
It is recommended to remove the Memory Stick before shutting down the computer.
! To prevent the possible loss of data, do not remove a Memory Stick media when the Memory Stick media access light is on. Large image files require
more time to store on a Memory Stick media, so always check the Memory Stick media access indicator and make sure that it is off before you remove
the Memory Stick media.
