Inserting a Memory Stick Media
VGN-FE series models are equipped with a Memory Stick Duo/PRO Duo media slot that can only accommodate a small-size
Memory Stick media: Memory Stick Duo or Memory Stick PRO Duo media, while VGN-AR series models are equipped with
a Memory Stick PRO/Duo media slot that can accommodate either the standard- or small-size media.
To use the standard-size Memory Stick media on VGN-FE series models, you need to use the ExpressCard slot with the
supplied memory card adapter. See Using the ExpressCard Module (page 62) and Using Other Memory Cards on VGN-
FE series Models (page 72) for more information.
To use the small-size Memory Stick media on VGN-FE series models or either the standard- or small-size media on VGN-
AR series models, proceed with the following. Note that both the Memory Stick Duo/PRO Duo media slot on VGN-FE series
models and the Memory Stick PRO/Duo media slot on VGN-AR series models are simply referred to as the Memory Stick
media slot in the following for convenience.
