Using your VAIO computer
The data transfer speed is slow
The data transfer speed depends on the obstacles and/or the distance between the two devices, but also on the radio wave quality,
the operating system or the software used. Try to move your computer or try to place the two devices closer.
I cannot communicate with the other device although the distance between both devices is within 10 metres
The data transfer distance can be shorter than 10 metres depending on existing obstacles between the two devices, on radio wave
quality, on the operating system or the software used. Try to move your computer or to place both devices closer.
If the device with which you want to communicate is already communicating with another Bluetooth device, it may not be found or
it may not be able to communicate with your computer.
Check that the Bluetooth functionality of the device with which you want to communicate is on. See the other device's manual for
more details.
File transmission and reception fail.
When transmitting a file with the Bluetooth File Forwarding Wizard, the receiving device must be set beforehand to receive incoming
transmissions.
To set a device to receive incoming transmissions, proceed as follows:
1 Start the computer and turn on the Bluetooth device.
2 Choose Start > All programs > Accessories > Communications > Bluetooth File Forwarding Wizard.
3 Click Next, select the check box next to Receive files, and click Next again.
The message The Bluetooth device requires authentication appears in the notification area.
The target Bluetooth enabled device is requesting connection authentication. Mutual authentication is required to enable Bluetooth
communications with this device.
