IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
ṇ Old appliances are not worthless junk. Valuable raw
materials can be reclaimed by recycling old appliances.
Before disposing of your old appliance, render it unusable.
ṇ You received your new appliance in a protective
shipping carton. All packaging materials are environmen-
tally friendly and recyclable. Please contribute to a better
environment by disposing of packaging materials in an
environmentally-friendly manner.
ṇ The hood can only be used in exhaust air mode.
ṇ Always mount the hood over the center of the cook-
top.
ṇ Minimum distance between electric cooktop and
bottom edge of hood: 30” mm, Fig. 1.
ṇThe extractor hood must not be installed over a solid
fuel cooker – a potential fire hazard (e.g. flying sparks) –
unless the cooker features a closed, non-removable
cover and all national regulations are observed.
ṇ The smaller the gap between the hood and burners,
the greater the likelihood that droplets will form on the
underside of the hood.
Additional gas cooktop information:
ṇ
When installing gas cooktops, comply with the relevant
national statutory regulations.
ṇ Always comply with the currently valid regulations and
installation instructions supplied by the gas appliance
manufacturer.
ṇ Only one side of the hood may be installed next to a
high-sided unit or high wall. Leave a gap of at least 2”.
ṇ Minimum distance between the upper edge of the gas
burner grates and lower edge of the hood: 30”, Fig. 1.
