replace the batteries. Replace both batteries at the same time and do not mix different
types of batteries. Do not leave exhausted batteries in the clock for a long period of time.
They may eventually leak and cause damage to the clock itself or to the surface the clock
is placed on.
Please dispose of the exhausted batteries properly.
Note: After replacing the batteries the clock will return to its original default settings. It

Setting The Time
When the batteries are installed the display will show the initial default settings of
12:00 AM for time and 6:00 AM for alarm time.
To set the time, pull the right side cap outward as shown in Figure 1. The time display
will start flashing. Rotate and hold the cap Up (+) or Down (-) to adjust the display
to the correct time. The display will move forward or backward rapidly. When the
display approaches the correct time release the cap and then twist the cap up or
down repeatedly to set the display to the exact minute. Be sure to observe the AM
or PM indicators to confirm that you have set the time correctly. When the correct
time appears on the display, push the right side cap back in. The time display stops
flashing.
Setting The Alarm Time
Rotate and hold the right side cap Up (+) or Down (-) to adjust the alarm display
rapidly. When the alarm display approaches the desired wake up time, release the
cap and then twist the cap up or down repeatedly to set the display to the exact
wake up minute. Be sure to observe the AM or PM indicators to confirm that you
have set the wake-up time correctly.
Activating The Alarm
The Alarm Off / Snooze (ALM OFF/SNZ) slide switch is located just behind the left
side cap (Fig. 2). Set this switch to the SNZ position to activate the alarm. The
Snooze indicator and Alarm Indicator appear to the right of the alarm time.
When the alarm time is reached the electronic alarm tone turns on. The alarm
continues for one minute and then shuts off automatically and resets itself for the
same time on the following day.

24-Hour Time Display
You may change the display from the 12-Hour format with AM/PM indicators to the
24-Hour format, often called ‘military time’. In the 24-Hour format midnight is displayed
as “0:00”, 1:00 PM is displayed as “13:00”, 6:00 PM is displayed as “18:00”, etc.
To change the display format, remove the battery compartment cover and use a
straightened paper-clip, a toothpick, or similar object to press the 12/24 Hour
Button (see Fig. 2. for 12/24 Hour Button location inside of battery door).
Snooze Function
While the alarm is sounding you may activate the Snooze function by gently pressing
down on the top cabinet. The alarm sound stops for 5 minutes and then turns on
again. The Snooze operation may be repeated several times if desired.
Deactivating The Alarm
Set the ALM OFF/SNZ switch to the ALM OFF position to deactivate the alarm. The
Snooze indicator and Alarm Indicator will disappear from the display.
Indiglo Night Light
To view the clock display in a darkened room, gently press down on the top cabinet.
The display back lighting turns on for 5 seconds, then shuts off automatically.
Flashlight Operation
Pull the left side cap outward to turn the flashlight ‘On’. Push the cap back in to turn
the flashlight ‘Off’. Note: Frequent use of the flashlight will shorten the battery life.
Battery Level Indicator
The battery level indicator in the LCD display shows the condition of the batteries,
and indicates when the batteries should be replaced. Refer to the table below:
Battery Installation
Installing the Batteries
Remove the battery compartment cover by pressing on both of the locking tabs
together and lifting the cover upward.
Insert 4 “AAA” batteries in the battery compartment located at rear. We recommend
using a well-known brand of alkaline batteries for longest life and best performance.
Be sure to insert the batteries according to the polarity markings engraved in the
compartment. If the batteries are inserted incorrectly the unit will not work.
Replace the battery compartment cover and make sure it is securely locked.
