Operating Basics
Disabling or enabling wireless devices
Fn + F8: This hot key enables and disables the wireless devices installed in
your computer.
The wireless modes are:
■ Enable all Devices: Enables the Wi-Fi
®
, BluetoothTM and Wireless
WAN modules.
■ Disable all Devices: Disables the Wi-Fi
®
, BluetoothTM and Wireless
WAN modules.
■ Enable or Disable Wi-Fi
®
: Enables or disables just the Wi-Fi
®
module.
■ Enable or Disable BluetoothTM: Enables or disables just the
BluetoothTM module.
■ Enable or Disable Wireless WAN: Enables or disables just the Wireless
WAN module.
■ Never allow metal objects, such as screws, staples and paper clips, to
enter the computer. Foreign metal objects can create a short circuit,
which can cause computer damage and fire, possibly resulting in
serious injury.
■ Do not touch the connectors on the SIM card. Debris on the connector
may cause access problems.
This hot key is available only when the Wireless communication is set to
enabled in BIOS setup.
