4.16 Fan, Heat Sink, & CPU
Removing the Fan, Heat Sink & CPU
To remove the Fan, Heat Sink, and CPU, you must first remove the keyboard, top and bottom
covers to reveal the system board, then follow the steps below:
CAUTION: If you remove the heat sink, you should use the CPU grease tool to remove
the grease on the CPU and heat sink.
1. On the topside of the system board, remove four M2x5 screws securing the fan module.
