Conserving battery power
Turning off the display automatically
To save power, its a good idea to set the display to turn off
automatically when youre not using the computer. You can do
this several ways:
Use the Windows Display Properties to enable a blank screen
saver.
Use the Windows Power Saver Properties to turn off the LCD
panel after a certain amount of time has passed.
Enabling the screen saver
1 Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
2 Double-click Display, and click the Screen Saver tab.

3 In the section labeled Screen Saver, select Blank Screen.
4 In the Wait window, click the up and down buttons to set the
number of minutes before the display turns off automatically.
5 Click OK to save your changes and exit the Display
Properties dialog box.
