Save Energy & Protect the Environment
Models TLP82MASD and TLP82MASF include an
energy-saving feature that allows one “Master”
outlet to control power to three “Subordinate”
outlets. When a computer connected to the
“Master” outlet is switched on or off, the
“Subordinate” outlets are also switched on or
off. This feature turns off idle peripherals (such
as printers, monitors and scanners) that aren’t
needed when your computer is off. Because
these “phantom loads” continue to consume
electricity while connected to live outlets,
turning off the outlets prevents them from
wasting energy.
