Text/Photo
Select this mode to scan originals that contain both text and photos.
Photo (halftone)
Select this mode when documents contain a gray scale or color image, such as a
photograph.
Photo (contone)
Select this mode when documents contain a continuous tone, black and white or color
image, such as a photograph.
Scan Resolution
As the resolution increases, the scan becomes more detailed, but the data size also
increases. As the data size increases, scan and transfer times will increase. The
default is 600 dpi.
Procedure
Select the appropriate [Scan Resolution] from
the available options: [600 dpi], [400 dpi], [300
dpi], [200 dpi], and [150 dpi].
File Format
Scanned image data may be saved in TIFF, PDF, or CALS formats. The default is
[TIFF].
Procedure
Select the file format in which the scanned image
data will be stored: [TIFF], [PDF], or [CALS].
