Hi there. This is an old printer but I like it. What the problem is, though, is that my black cartridge has run out but the red light isn't showing that allows me to change it. When I press the button for three seconds, all the printer does is keep cleaning the heads which doesn't help because there is no black ink left. How can I change the cartridge when the printer has failed to realize that it is even empty?

I found out how to do it. Lift the printer lid, then push the paper feed button and the power button at the same time. I found that solution eventually, in a manual online. Just pushing the paper feed button by itself obviously works too, judging by the last response. Cheers.

I just came into work and my Xerox Phaser 3600 printer screen shows "fuser fan locked" and won't print. I always turn-off the printer, before I leave for the day. What's wrong how do I unlock fuser fan? This printer is only about 3 -4 months old. Thanks, Shari Plummer

I have tryed everything to stop the flashing red light. There is no paper jam, I have plenty of paper in the printer. I brought a new brother toner. I use liquid air and blew it out. The light is on and will not print. I tryed all the suggestions in the manual and online, and no response the light is still flashing. Do anybody have a suggestion?
