Product Problem: Epson 460 Model P950A

Hi there. This is an old printer but I like it. What the problem is, though, is that my black cartridge has run out but the red light isn't showing that allows me to change it. When I press the button for three seconds, all the printer does is keep cleaning the heads which doesn't help because there is no black ink left. How can I change the cartridge when the printer has failed to realize that it is even empty?

Latest post, made on 2010-03-17 15:56:24
I found out how to do it. Lift the printer lid, then push the paper feed button and the power button at the same time. I found that solution eventually, in a manual online. Just pushing the paper feed button by itself obviously works too, judging by the last response.
Cheers.
