Product Problem: balance wheel

the balance wheel on my machine is loose as if I were winding the bobbin, but it won't get tighter no matter how much i twist it to tighten it. When I try to sew, the balance wheel spins, instead of the needle moving. Am I doing something wrong, or is there something wrong with my machine??

Product Problem: brother pt-100 tape feed problem

I changed the cartridge in my pt-100 and now it dows not feed the tape. The gears move, but the roller does not come against the tape to move it.
