Installed Win XP instead of Vista but cannot get F5 to switch to VGA connection for monitor or projector. It is like the VGA port is disabled?

0 did anyone ever solve this, as I have this problem after loading XP Pro on an acer 5735, can't output signal to projector, Fn + F5 does not work? Also wireless does not work, although loaded and re-load the XP drivers from acer site?
