Question About Acer Laptop Acer Aspire 5515

the laptop loads and stops at the Windows password screen, with no keyboard or mouse use allowed. Doing the interupt prior to Windows loading and attempting a SAFE MODE also ends up at the Windows password screen with no ability to use the keyboard or mouse.
