acer aspire 5735-4624 WINDOWS VISTA SYTEM ...Missing an important startup piece, \system32\ntoskkrnl.exe. Can some one help find sendme this piece to Start my windows VISTA Program Properly?? HELP ...send a link or way to download to disk so i may install this missing piece??? GREATFULLY, Michael (e-mail is mjwtaurean@yahoo.com) ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

0 You're missing your Windows Kernel. I've never attempted to simply replace a file like this, but you already know the place it's SUPPOSED to be, so if you can find another copy (online by googling and downloading). Using a live disc like Knoppix (download, burn, then boot from this instead of trying to boot from your hard drive on your laptop) you can access your files and attempt to replace the missing file. If you're not too concerned with losing whatever's on your laptop you can do a restore by hitting Alt and F10 at the time your computer starts, this will begin the restore process and walk you through restoring the system to the original factory settings.
