ram type 1600 can I use 1666...

i put in P3 1666 because Best Buy told me to use that. Computer will only open in safe mode. I need to know the exact memory and the max that can be used. Had a P3, 2G and 4G 1600. put in 2 P3 4G 1666

0 meant ddr3 not p3
