The mouse pad...

We just opened up a brand new Acer Aspire 4730z/4330 series laptop and we can't get the mouse to move. What can we do? Is it broken?

5 I have the same laptop and the mouse pad work well, remember that if you want to scroll the page you dont have to hit the arrows, what do yo have to do it´s to move you´re finger up or down in the aera of the arrows. Maybe you know this, but just in case you don´t. Oh and sorry about my english, my first language is spanish.

5 How do I receive audio once a DVD is put into the Acer Aspire 4330 Laptop? I can hear CD's and Downloads of music and videos, but there is no sound once a DVD is playing.

4 I had the same problem the first time I booted up. When I turned it off and back on (after the boot was complete) it worked fine.

4 sense the first day the mouse hangs up when ever it pleases. The computer is 16 days old. I was able to use a mouse pluged into usb port when the pad quite working. Only trouble is there is only two ports so have to use a add on port when I need to plug in back up hard drive and printer with a mouse. Does anyone know if this is a driver problem or a hardware problem.

4 Acer sight says to hold down key FN while you tap F7. the bottom of the sreen should say mouse pad inabled, or disabled. If disabled repeat FN while you tap F7. It does work. What I do not know is why the pad disables... Try this and see if your mouse pad works.

3 If anything problem, wait for few attempt to resolve the problem. but dont wait any more after that, Call the customer care and book for company service, since we have 1 year onsite warrenty. dont miss it.

2 The mouse hangs and then skitters all over....I used different drivers and it helped somewhat but I DO believe it has something to do with the design of the touchpad It is definately a real KILLJOY on this machine as otherwise it would be a nice machine Acer should come up with a solution on this as hardware is supposed to be their forte

2 I just brought a Aspire 4330 and I cannot hear my dvd once it's inserted. I see the picture but, cannot here the sound. I tried everything. If someone could help I would be grateful.

0 hi! uhmm.. i just bought a new aspire laptop 4730Z.... and after 2 weeks i have to bring it back to the seller because it had some problems..... now after that problem there was another problem.... the scroll in the mouse pad.. its supposed to be working right?? there is an arrow up and down wherein u can scroll the page easily and now it's NOT working..... i am so frusrated right now coz i've just been from the store minutes ago... and all they say is my laptop doesn't have any problems at all.... and the warranty is only in the hardware so i have to PAY for every word and work they did..... arghh..... i'm just so so frustrated now i just lost 500 for their "repair".... so please please please help me resolve this problem..... please please please i really need ur help..... the difference i now see from the first time i bought it is bottom right which has a little figure of the mouse pad there it's called synaptics pointing device.... before it was white now it's black please please help me resolve this problem i don't want to lose money again..:( please email me ....... angela_anderson_smiley@yahoo.com thnx

0 It is not a problem with mouse being on or off but of mouse jumping around and not responding properly

0 I had the name problem with the mouse pad and it turns out because I am left handed I inadvertantly circle anti clockwise when I move the mouse around and this is the shortcut to freeze the screen. I took it into a shop and they disabled the flashy function (scroll, enlargingin & freezing on the mouse pad) and it works beautifullu now. If you are left handed I bet its the same thing and would explain why you don;t have any issues with an ordinary mouse.
