I have been trying to burn photos onto a cd on my laptop. The drive does not recognize the cd as being recordable - it just rejects the disk with the message "insert recordable disk". I know the cd is not the problem as it can be used in another computer.

0 The only thing I can think of is it's not the right kind disk, your cd disk drive should tell you, or the computer should state what kinds are compatible with your drive. That happens to me when I try to burn a certain way, the computer asks to format for burning, and I let it and then it says it's not blank. I use Windows Media Player and just click burn for videos or music and transfer to the side bar and it says when you can't put any more and then click burn...works like a charm!
