Question About Argus Camera Projector None
FORWARD & REVERSE WILL NOT ENGAGE...

THE MOTOR &LIGHT WORK FINE BUT WHEN CONTROLS ARE ENGAGED IT WILL NOT MOVE THE FORWARD OR REVERSE MOVEMENT. I SEE NO BELT,ONLY A SPRING ATTACHED TO THE REEL ROLLERS. THE MOTOR SEEMS TO WORK FINE BUT EVEN THOUGH THE MOTOR MOVES OUT WHEN ENGAGED IT WILL NOT PROPELL THE FILM MOVEMENT.

4 The slave worm gear is stripped. You can confirm this by taking the back side off of your projector (unplugged) and carefully, manually moving the gears to where the drive worm gear engages again with the slave gear. They will move the sprocket and all gears until they reach the area where they are stripped. Attached photo shows pencil pointing to slave worm gear that is stripped.
