Purchased a ready to assemble computer from New Eg...

Purchased a ready to assemble computer from New Egg which includes P8Z77-V LE Plus motherboard and G.Skill (2x8GB) F3-1600C11D-16GNTR memory. System doesn't recognize memory, but G. Skill lists it on their CVL as compatible with this motherboard. Do I need to select XMP profile in Bios or DOCP? What is the difference?
