my Belkin wireless Comfort Mouse battery compartme...

my Belkin wireless Comfort Mouse battery compartment is STUCK! i don't know if it's because the batteries weren't put in properly or something, but pressing the small button at the bottom of the mouse isn't opening the battery compartment........I've used these same batteries before,don't what's wrong now
