I was given a Brookstone Floating Nessage Alarm Clock (Input 12VDC 200 mA), SKU 535419. When I plug it in, the wand moves back and forth but nothing seems to illuminate. The controls have only an ON/OFF button. A SNOOZE button, a button with right and left arrows, a button with up and down arrows, and a button with a square. No reset button and no battery compartment. What do I need to do to get it to do ANYTHING other than move the wand back and forth?
