I have a dial tone and can receive phone calls but...

I have a dial tone and can receive phone calls but I can't make them. It has worked for a long time and then suddenly problem.

5 Try rebooting your FAX machine by completely pulling out the power cord and waiting thirty seconds then plunging it back in. This may reset your machine and reenable your outbound calling capabilities. If not, check with a regular phone to see if you can make calls with this line. If so, its the FAX machine gone bad. If you cant make a call from a regular phone, then contact your phone company for troubleshooting.
