how do I scan to my PC? When I put paper in printe...

how do I scan to my PC? When I put paper in printer and press scan i get a message to prepare my PC for scanner. When I do that I get a message that printer and PC are not communicating. However, this is a wireless printer and it has been set up properly to print from my PC.
