Question About Casio Calculator fx-300MS

In my Gen Chemistry class we try to calculate problems like (1.10x10^-2)(.9). I believe my Casio S-VPAM FX-300MS keeps rounding to just 0. My classmate's exact same model as mine, does not show this problem and she actually gets decimal answers. How do I fix this problem?
