How can I get the barcode printer out of hex dump mode?...

The barcode printer keeps spitting out labels after doing a label. I've tried doing the recalibration through the computer but it doesn't respond. I can't remember a trick someone told me years back about turning off while holding down another button, but I've tried power off and on and it still doesn't come out of dump mode.
