need the power cord, either AC or DC for this charger. On the AC - need the wattage or amperage.

6 Radio shack 273-163 will do it. Be careful to plug the universal adapter that fits the Coleman unit in to the adapter cord so it is "center positive". I got an adapter at a thrift store for $.95 that works fine. Electronic stores also can supply them. Marvac Dow for example. Just get a high milliamp output, near 1000 ma or it will take a long time to charge.

4 I found mine just standing next to a trash can in prestigious condition however it hardly had little battery life to it. I used the 12V 1000 ma transformer that powers my PC desk speakers to charge the unit for 24 hours and it now holds a full charge & I love it!

3 Charge the unit for 24 hours, then just use the florescent light to dump the charge then fully recharge the unit again.

3 The reverse polarity light on my charger is on and I don't know how or why. What do I need to do/check to see if the unit is operating properly and get the light turned off?

3 I need to charge my Coleman 8960. I guess I lost what I need...or else it didn't come with something to charge it with. My son gave me the Coleman 8960 for Christmas. Today my car wouldn't start and a neighbor starting laughing when I pulled the 8960 out...he said "You have to charge it"...Duh....70 year old ladies don't know about that kind of stuff. 2 Go to Radio Shack and get a wall wart charger. Center positive 12V 1000 ma. I am using an 850 ma and it takes a long time to charge. It works fine though. I just happened to have one on hand
