Question About Compaq Computer Monitor 7500
monitor dark...

cannot get the monitor to light up. have power and it is connected to the pc correctly.

0 Hi Check the pins on the signal plug at either end (sometimes bent, when inserting them). If the monitor is connected to a PC (not laptop/notebook/netbook) then check the video card is seated properly. If these dont work then the possibility is the monitor video circuitry or the video card are malfunctioning and need replacing. Check the monitor on another functioning PC, if it does not respond then the monitor is at fault, if it does not respond then consider a replacement monitor. Hope this helps
