Question About Compaq Computer Monitor 7500
monitor is plugged in but wont turn on...

i need help!! i plugged the monitor in the outlet. i plugged the video cable in correctly. i also move the mouse and hit the keys on the keyboard but the monitor is still blank. the light on the monitor is orange and wont turn green...
