My Compaq 7500 CRT 17" monitor is just not working. When I switch on the CPU the monitor screen remains blank, the LED does not light up. I have checked the connections and they are properly installed. The local mechanic says that the part inside the monitor which deals with the current input needs to be replaced. Problem is, he says that the part is no longer avaiaible on the market. What options do I have under these circumstances?
