Laptop won't turn on...

My laptop won't turn on, even while being plugged in. The little lightening bolt down at the left hand side of the keypad lights up, but that's the only one that does and nothing happens. It hasn't been in extreme cold or heat, it hasn't gotten wet, my electrical outlets work. What's wrong with it?
