5 If the backplane lights up, you may have a faulty connector or damaged ribbon between the two halves of the unit. It may not be getting the video signal from the Video circuit. The Backplane lighting is a different set of wires so it will still light with no active video signal. If it will work with an external monitor plugged in, check the connections and wire ribbon first. This does require disassembly to check.
