What does the little switch next to the power cord input do? Which direction is on/off?

5 Be quick I believe that this will be pulled in the near future as it is a discontinued product. On the switch, up is on, down is off and the blue light indicates power to unit and the red light means the batteries are in use - the light stays lit without batteries because the voltage is still at the battery terminals. Note "First Time Use" instructions. Hope this helps!
