Question About Datamax Printer I-4208
iSeries device description...

I am trying to configure a DataMax I-4208 printer with an ehernet card. What device type is recommended on the iSeries.

0 I am not sure what Device type you are referring too, but all you need is an IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway. All the other properties are optional - BootP, etc.
